3CEA were selected for its work on a project with SOS Kilkenny, a long-established organisation which provides a lifetime commitment to people with a learning disability. 3CEA team were delighted that SOS Kilkenny was selected as a finalist and our team was delighted to work with SOS Kilkenny team to save energy, reduce their spend on heating and lighting and improve working and living conditions for all. Being shortlisted in the SEAI awards as an example of good practice in their work in the public sector, is simply the icing on the cake.
3CEA have a long and proud history with SOS Kilkenny. They have moved away from electric storage heating and oil fed boilers to a smart district heating system, SOS have now future-proofed their heating sources and protected themselves against fluctuating energy prices. SOS Kilkenny service users and staff have all benefitted from a more comfortable and brighter living and working environment. SOS are proud of what they have achieved and are delighted to be shortlisted and chosen as an example for others in the healthcare field within the Public Sector. SOS Kilkenny is a small organisation trying to deliver a big change whilst supporting the Public Sector energy reduction targets and attempting to be a HSE sector leader and an example in the field.
