The National Advocacy Service is a free, independent and confidential service fully funded by the Citizens Information Board. NAS provides advocacy to people with disabilities over the age of 18.
This includes elderly people who have disabilities, people with intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities and people experiencing mental health issues.
They have a particular remit to provide advocacy services to people who may be isolated from their community of choice or mainstream society, live in residential services, attend day services, people who may communicate differently and who may have limit informal or natural supports.
