Congratulations are due to the 10 Kilkenny athletes who competed in the Special Olympic Games Ireland in Dublin two weekends ago. They all put in a huge effort in their sports. Between them they brought home 7 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze medals.    Special Olympic Photos - click here to view

Summers Stars Reading Adventure is now underway and runs until August 31st in all Libraries in Kilkenny.   The challenge encourages all children to read a minimum of 8 Books  through the summer holiday period.   By participating, children improve their reading levels and avoid the 'summer slide' in an enjoyable way, by picking up free rewards as they progress! The summer 2018 phase of Healthy Ireland 2018 was launched last week and the three themes of the campaign are:- Healthy Eating, Physical Activity and Mental Wellbeing.
