Summers Stars Reading Adventure is now underway and runs until August 31st in all Libraries in Kilkenny. The challenge encourages all children to read a minimum of 8 Books through the summer holiday period. The summer 2018 phase of Healthy Ireland 2018 was launched last week and the three themes of the campaign are:- Healthy Eating, Physical Activity and Mental Wellbeing. The Summer campaign also emphasises the benefits of making healthy changes with others, as research shows that starting a healthy habit with someone else, such as a family member, friend or colleague, is likely to be more effective than if you do it alone. Kilkenny County Council is advertising for Expressions of Interest (EOI’s) from Community Groups to apply for funding under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme 2018. The Scheme provides funding of up to 80% in respect of Capital Projects. An information evening on the scheme will be held in the Springhill Hotel on Thursday 17th of May at 8.00p.m.

The P.E.T.E. (Preparation for Education, Training and Employment) Service will be running a Career Profile and Progression Programme in Kilkenny starting the 06th of June 2018.
