Register Now for Kilkenny PPN “Check-In” Online Plenary For Thursday 26th November

6.30pm-8pm

As you know, we are all forced to do our jobs differently during this difficult time. This year, Kilkenny PPN will host their Plenary online.

In years past, it was a wonderful opportunity for our members to get together, have a meal and learn from each others experience. This year, has been challenging in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, especially for the Community and Voluntary sector. Funding avenues have been channeled in other directions, monies are tight, people cannot gather together in the usual way which means a lot of projects and programmes have had to be postponed or reviewed.

Kilkenny PPN has continued to work and deliver upon its objectives albeit differently than before. We will be hosting our Plenary online on Thursday next 26th of November from 6.30pm to 8pm.

We have some minor housekeeping to take care of this year and members will be asked to vote and formally ratify the new PPN representatives on the Strategic Policy Committees (SPC’s), Joint Policing Committee and the Local Community Development Committee (LCDC). You will also be presented with the draft work plan for the year ahead.

  • 6.30pm- Opening of Plenary- Introduction by Resource Worker, Mags Whelan
  • 6.40-7.05pmpm- Formal Ratification of PPN Representatives and Work Plan for 2021
  • 7.10pm-7.30pm- Colette Bennett from Social Justice Ireland will be presenting on the PPN’s, their structure and value for community groups.
  • 7.30pm-7.45pm- Theresa Curran, Community Development and Social Enterprise Officer from Kilkenny LEADER Partnership will be presenting on funding opportunities for Community Groups in light of Covid-19.
  • 8pm- Plenary ends

To register for the Plenary, please email Mags or Bortha on or text/phone 087 1731634.

If you wish to put forward a motion for consideration at Plenary, please email prior to close of business on Tuesday next 24th November.

Looking forward to catching up with you all.

Kind regards
